On April 14, 2022 Parviz Muhammadzoda, Doctor of Political Sciences, Deputy Director of the Center for Strategic Researches under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, attended and spoke online in a conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the United States on topic «Thirty Years of U.S.-Tajikistan Partnership: What’s Next? A Look at Past Achievements and the Path Forward”. The conference was organized by the US Institute of Peace and Tajikistan’s Embassy in Washington.
The event was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, representatives of the US State Secretary, ambassadors of both countries and researchers from the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the United States Institute of Peace and other international experts.
As Muhammadzoda P.A. mentioned in his speech, at past 30 years in framework of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and USA gained a big practical experience and huge achievements.
Analyzing thirty years of the development of the cooperation, Deputy Director of the Center noted that two countries demonstrated to world wide a new approach of the solving of regional problems and issues of bilateral relations. This is expressed, above all, in an active discussion, as well as in a broad exchange of views by the parties, the development of common approaches, and the formation of a common agenda for cooperation for the foreseeable future.
In their speeches, other experts discussed the achievements of 30 years of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the United States, and expressed interesting views on further cooperation.
